Seattle garage builder - Seattle Basement remodel

The goal: to upgrade heating for this beautiful U-District home, finish out the basement into a large mother-in-law unit, by adding a basement bathroom and kitchen. Also to build a new 2-car garage in the back yard, and create a laundry room upstairs. The project involved foundation and concrete work, along with new steel beams and framing in the basement area. Final finishes included Ikea cabinets with solid surface countertops and a floating wood floor. Completed 2008.

project features

  • A complete basement remodel that can be used for relatives or a rental, including updated kitchen and bathroom
  • The new heating arrangement tucks all of the heating equipment into a space under the stairs
  • A deck/carport was removed and replaced with a 2 car garage with storage space
