Is it still a backyard cottage if it’s in the front yard? The answer is yes, and this little house has just the perfect massing and design to look and feel like a perfect "little house." Featuring a compact kitchen with salvaged cabinets, a washer/dryer tucked under the stairs and a comfortable living area at the main floor, plus a bedroom, bathroom and attic storage is on the 2nd level, transitioning out to a spacious deck. The cottage was framed to be converted into garage space in the future, so the uses of the cottage can evolve over time. Completed 2016.
