New lap siding makes a huge difference in the look of the home. The new trellis and stairs to the back yard compliment the home.
The railings are built from Ipea and steel spacers. Ipea is a very dense tropical hardwood that holds up very well in the Pacific Northwests damp climate.
The Ipea was custom milled on site, and the spacers had to be cut at just the right angle for the stair section.
The trellis at the French Doors has a polycarbonate panel over top to provide some protection from rain.
Half walls around the main deck have a beautiful Ipea rail cap at the top, and are covered by galvanized flashing to keep water out.
Before: funky siding and a partly finished deck.
After: A comfortable outdoor entertaining area with custom details and durable materials.
